Growing up, I could only watch movies on the weekend. So Friday night and Saturday became sacred days; going to Blockbuster videos and renting a movie became a ritual. I remember my older brother inserting the first Mission Impossible into our DVD player, promising it would blow our minds…it did. Slick, smooth, smart, cool, badass…Tom Cruise was the f-ing man.

From that moment on, I wanted to be an actor.

No one wants to hire someone with no experience, so I hired myself. I created the YouTube channel Halfway Famous to teach myself how to act. The first thing I filmed was genuinely awful. So was the second one…and third…but…in failure, I learned.

I joined an acting class at a local community college, acted in plays, directed a student-run musical. Then I moved to Los Angeles. There I studied for two years at Actor Circle Theatre, learning discipline and technique.

I want to act and entertain. I want someone to watch me; I want them to laugh, cry, and, if only for a moment, escape with me into the fantasy…
